My days are obviously meta-speed. I stress in Boutte. I never code, written patents or written reports as quickly. I Defonce my colleagues during their presentation, and above, I have to vacate my preparations to prepare. I feel I'll take my plane complement of breath, with my cat peed in his crate, and an excess baggage that will peter my portfolio. I punctured a tire of titin before yesterday, and still do not know who I was going to sell. I boxes as big ass in my living room, and I really do not know how I'm going home all this in my two trunks. Not to mention the fact that I do not know how I'm going all shipper; Aaaaaaaaaaah.
ffff, ffff, no stress, no stress. Two more weeks and I become alcoholic at pastaga.

Children Come ...
I submitted my resignation today. My boss was very understanding (thank God!). In a month I port back to France.
This is a little more than seven years since I left the land of cheese that stinks.

What Color Goes With A Grey Suit
Park Avenue AOC
In these dark times of hurricanes, fires, floods and other natural disasters or less, I found this article in The New Yorker, Ben McGrath of refreshing and friendly. I'm a little translation:
One day in 1977, while his wife Vera was out, Latif Jiji, a professor of mechanical engineering at City College, sowed a plant vine in the yard of his home on 92nd between Park and Lex. Since this garden was the sacred territory of his wife, Latif had the opportunity to plant that foot on the sly. But it did not take long before the vines from growing at a quite staggering. Fertility Land explained by the different nutrient-rich Upper East Side (rain smog flavor, poodles poop, smell of mothballs, etc.)..
"This way of working that inspires me more Freudian conclusions," said Vera, Professor of English at retirement. "Give a man a little stick, and he used to end domination of everything."
The vine is a good thirty feet today, ranging from the short front to the rear of the house on four floors, and this through the roof. Give him a few years and will continue to extend to the entrance porch. Each year, can be drawn from this vineyard some 200 kg of green grapes in Niagara. Sufficient quantity for the Jiji start producing their own white wine, of course they called Chateau Latif. A hundred bottles per vintage. Of the Jiji enorgueuillir may be the only producers of wine in Manhattan. "The Greeks, Romans, Arabs, they used small vines, feet horizontal, little more than 2 meters tall. But not me, "said Latif. "I have the highest vineyards in the world."
Latif, 77, grew up in Basra, Iraq, where his father was an amateur wine producer. And nothing could prevent Latif perpetuate the family tradition. Even the fact of living on the island's most densely populated North America. Even the fact of living above a subway line. His wine is a product of the terroir of Park Avenue.
"This wine grows on a single soil carbon monoxide, water, cooking hot dogs, and smoke from line 6," said Jeff Ourvan, son-Latif, when he swallows a grapes miraculous. Ourvan whole family participates in the traditional family harvest in September, which stands on the roof. It collects the sticky clusters in a plastic bag, trying not to drop into the neighbor's chimney. (The previous resident was not a fan of this vineyard, and carefully made sure that no sheet does not pass the boundaries of his property.)
A dozen gleaners, covering three generations have worked this year, for 12 hours, passing roof racks of the house by a pulley system, leaning out the windows to hang. Downstairs, other trophies weighed, using a bathroom scale, bags in hand, striking the balance the tare weight. They clean the grapes covered with this layer of pollution to the living water, then collect them in the hamper. they then pass through a metal stalk in the fund's garden, and in a press wood. The constant flux of the grape juice is collected in a bucket of cleaning and plastic trash, and then ends in a glass fermenter of 15 liters.
Before two hours, the wine was from crude. It was the smallest harvest in 15 years. Latif explained this by the lack of rain, and renovations to its new neighbor, which could damage the roots. The consensus was that the thought this year was sweeter, more lemony than the previous vintage. A team of "chemists" was then formed around the patio table with a hydrometer, a calculator, and a bag of sugar came from the supermarket.
By early evening, one guest wondered if he could thirsty try this wine. A chilled bottle of vintage 2000 was uncorked and was found to be very refreshing. It tasted sweet and somewhat of metal or Retsina Riesling.
"Is it possible that it is dry?" Asked one of the daughters of Latif.
"No, no, it's the opposite of dry is sweet," said one of his sisters.
Night fell, and the family gathered around a casserolée tomato and eggplant in the house. Another toast was raised, Chateau Latif 97. Nobody remembers more if it was a really good year or not.

Rock Convergence in Central Park
Win Butler, Chassagne and Miss whole gang of Arcade Fire are applauding wildly under the stars and the warm climate of Central Park tonight. They did everything they fart. The crowd sang cheerful heart in all houhous pieces of Funerals, the droogy Will Butler hit everything that moved with his chopsticks, and Mister Parry (among others) has impressed with his mastery of the 3000 instruments on stage. A reminder. I am well pleased.
"We're gonna play a David Bowie song."
Yep. Nice. They make us the Nirvana unplugged. They knew existing relationship with the Ziggymeister, so I do not wonder. But
. But
?
But!
David Bowie on stage.
I think not. It is before me, singing in a white suit, wearing a Stetson Dandy.
Waaaah. D. Bowie plays in front of us with the Arcade Fire.
is madness.
Waaah! Pinch me I'm dreaming!

Breakthrough Bleeding On Loette
Gravity and Grace
Last night Sigur Ros played at the luxurious Beacon Theater, West Side. Their game and went with the beauty of the place. First hidden behind gauzy curtains, they played with shadow puppets for their first pieces. The elven Icelanders are then given away to their heart before a crowd absorbed into the ether. Guitar chopped up by the bows, voice and lyrics come from Valhalla, I found their music clear. Not easy, not obvious. Since I heard this group, I felt that I had always known this music, I was born to today. A guttural language universal, atmospheric layers of guitars, laments responsible melancholy aesthetics together very chiadée. I now know what song he will play on my funeral.
Bonus Tracks:

[To be continued ditto, the group of four beautiful muses Amina, the quartet string that follows Sigur Ros, also doing their part. Icelanders cute accent (Björk clones), and a great collection of instruments: musical saw, which makes Chinese Zonzon Tongtong, xylophone, glass half full (empty), to laptop apple.]

Copd Untreated Asthma
Just a pearl
The objective of the day was minimal today: look after my tuture, the pampered and send it to the garage for inspection. What I am is a real moral problem. Indeed, owning a car is a completely new situation for me, and I must say, quite contradictory to my way of seeing things.
But hey, let's admit it. My principles were liquefied in the Suburbanite. It is very hard to survive in the suburbs of NYC without a car, and I think I already have a record of longevity. Eighteen months, which could be better?
Then, the evening was spent reading "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Tracy Chevalier. Many months behind the book in my library, and I do not know, or even abhor, voluntarily. This last one ex - It Takes Time to just get over it .
Scarlett on the cover, obviously that catches my eye. So obviously I started and finished the bugger to book. Aaargh.
It is fully appreciated as the works Vermeer: clear, bright, simple. Knight tells us his own version of the history of Girl with a Pearl (and the Dairy, the Girl with Glass of Wine, The Concert). In three days, eyeing the poster adorning his room, the author has laid this simple story.
And in less time, the historical novel is readable. Extrêmenent nothing original, not far from empty bombast of Da Vinci Code and consors. Griet's story is refreshing. I'll throw myself on the first DVD of the film adaptation.
Top Five movies of Miss S. Johannson (20 years!)
1. Lost in Translation
2. Ghost World
3. The Man Who Was not There
4. The Horse Whisperer
[5. Girl with a Perl Earring?]

Penn Station Undaground
Rats played the inhabitants of the New York underground debris from Penn Station for several decades. Until 2000, some 75 people have been living in Amtrak tunnels, building an unusual communityof homeless. Located several feet below Manhattan their own home sweet home . Exhaust fumes from trains, diseases carried by rat bites, addiction to crack cocaine. The young Briton Marc Singer, himself living in the tunnel, assisted by members of this community, filmed the daily life of the tunnel in "Dark Days 'meeting turns his peers Dee, Ralph, Tommy, Ronnie or ... rats. The super 8 camera was loaned by a store, the project more or less funded by a dozen credit cards not supplied, and Kodak gave the last film to finish the film.
DJ Shadow - James Lavelle and more Thom Yorke - Add my favorite tunes or Endtroducing Unkle. This is a doc
N / B polished aesthetics - yet improvised and beginner-romanticisant sometimes the condition of the homeless, but clearly super poignant. Award at Sundance 2000.

Flesh Colored Bumps On 6 Month Old
The problem We All Live With
November 1960. The law on segregation in public schools is repealed. In New Orleans, little Ruby Bridges - 6 years - went to William Frantz Public School, as the first black schoolgirl. Under streams of tomatoes, the cries of anger, threats of racist segregation, will be escorted every morning by police. To go to a school ... empty. White families boycotted the schools for one year.
The teacher Miss Henry will school at Ruby Nell normally for one year. A special class for one child.
Norman Rockwell in a series of covers for Look Magazine on racism, illustrates perfectly the scene of the entrance to the little girl in The Problem We All Live With . In N. Rockwell Museum (Stockbridge, MA, NYC 2:30 in the valley of the Housatonic River), one can see a nice selection of other works of the illustrator. Beyond certain sentimentality (saving a boy scout girl flooding, endless admiration for Lincoln), Rockwell painted a few pearls of U.S. popular culture.

Request For Disconnect My Telephone
America to me
Thurston Moore praised the audio cassette in "Mix Tape, The Art of Cassette Culture. I love this book. I do not know more than 7% of people cited in it, I know of no more than 5.5% of patches patiently identified in these compilations K7. However, the universe answered in this book is certainly the world of USA I love.
Collage, brothel, Rock, Hip-Hop, College and Grad School, strange artifacts, stories of love to the jaw-me-the-node, rock, indie rock, East Village, punk, comics, Boom box.
higher the bit of nostalgia for this symbol of popular culture, now supplanted by the iTunes playlist. Just love it. I also loved the spiel by Dean Wareham (formerly Luna, Galaxie 500). Verbatim in the language of Etienne Daho, translated by myself:
It takes a lot of time and energy to create phenomenal compiles its small K7. The emotional bond with his prospective beneficiary is taking place during the time spent tweaking the object. This link, this may be the desire to share his bed, or at other times his ideas. The message of the gift may be: "I love you. I think about you all the time. Listen how much I think of you. " Or: "I love myself. I am a sophisticated, tasteful, listening stuff goods. This cassette explain everything to me. "There's something very narcissistic in the act of designing a compilation tape, and this gift invariably creates a sense of debt among those who offer and those who receive.
The blog phenomenon is there a resurgence of new compiles K7?

Pram Black And Leopard Print
Dirtbombs under attack
In the small world of indie rock bands that make noise U.S., the trend now is to find a foxy brunette with long hair, behind which his eyes bewitching hide.
The Flesh apply the rule to perfection, and yours truly was left mesmerized by his deputy cited keyboardist, also because I love the sound of the piano kitsch analog. Gorgeous.
Tralala aligns four (4) Nenets (including a brunette long hair) to please the eye as well. The ears will remember their music shorter vacation, let's go to the beach young college fellows, yeah. Have also heard
Dirtbombs, with the bassist's most weird and fascinating ever recorded by the fire-feu_follet. Miss Ko Shih, part of the band of gorgeous brunettes bassists. Yep, but it is also part of the union stackanovistes bassists. Consequences: his right hand pissed blood and showed poor grin distressing during the show. Well, it would seem that some substances M'zelle boost anyway, but there's no denying energy to spare on this side.
Boudiou it was good this combination of 2 low, 2 batteries + guitar soul'deep'rock Detroit. Well, I will not talk about male musicians of these groups, no interest ;-)
[Interest anyway: my top five rock bands with black guys charismatic current inside: The Dears, TV on the Radio, Dirtbombs, Block Party, Godammit fifth]

Renew My Mechanics Licence
is a book that one leaf vacuum here. We hear the wind blowing almost on the dunes a few bulging. And there is no trace of life, no footprints, only mine: they fade gradually.
I started this diary, I still do not know why. Want to expose my words. Want to remove their dark cave my few words. For whom, for what? It started in Montreal during the winter strangles.
No utility EXCEPT Perhaps for myself. The night life of NYC, I'm not best placed to talk about it. I'm not a geek over. The scientist in me, half stunned would teach, or sometimes write THE book that explains everything about everything. But not here, not on the airwaves of the blog. My creativity is very poor, we will not see me stick me in my office to write the novel / the stance of the year either.
narrate adventures of expatriate ties? Grmpf. I left France, a few moons ago now. My scenery is now so pronounced that even France is a country that is foreign to me. Moreover, it was wrong party; being born on Earth with three different backgrounds, all in Britain.
And here I am, in recent months to wander. My family has been eroded over there. I live here I see that without any anchor who decided to attach myself a little on earth Americans. I think I fail.
I grumble, I storm. I do believe that any other out there waiting for me, he is sweet. I deserve it. I look away. I think. But I decided not to dive. I am weak?
Seen today "My life without me . I also see myself sometimes leave words, bits of tape post-mortem, to those who mattered to me. Maybe there's a bit of that in this blog. Alpha sings twice Sometime Later, I remember now that it's the only piece that really touched me. And then I listen
Françoiz Breut again and again. Amazon (without the right breast) has kindly supplied "20 to 30 000 days" today. Another album from one of two A-Dominique F. Breut who once accompanied me hours and hours.

Fleetwood Travel Trailers
There was my cousin, a year younger. It should be 10-11 years. On TV, there was Fignon Lemond or in the yellow jersey. The open skylight in my room. The smell of cut grass or slate boiling. Was it at the beach today? Hunting for shrimp in perspective. Or simply an afternoon of video games? Teen stashed in a bedroom of a teenager.
My mother returned from grocery shopping and brought ice. Quick, we eat them, otherwise they melt. Cones, ice water, or other, they still represent for me a symbol of summer. Rare treasure, because parents never invested in a freezer. My father was still smiling when he told when I m'enfilais, from 3-4 years, large Cones Kim Miko.
Well, I'm getting a Hagen Daas.

Sew In Weave With Bangshow To
Tell Madam Cliquot, why you ugly?
This For two days I'm trying to finish watching "Hero" by Zhang Yimou, not really, the sauce does not. However, the plastic film is fascinating, the skewer actors hallucinatory-Jet Li, Tony Cheung, Maggie Cheung (my fav's of In the mood for love ) Ziyi Zhang (huhu) - and the fighting Kungfuesques are planing to wish. But wham, I fall asleep.
Otherwise, Tuesday evening ended with sake;
Wednesday night, finished at Veuve Clicquot.
Friday, Vodka?

Simi Grewal Mera Naam Joker Scene
[Ozon / Shakespeare / Against the Grain]
glimpsed for a few minutes, Bill Shakespeare's play "As You Like It" performed at Central Park for free! This great initiative transforms our Central Park in the Ardennes forest, great players and we are strolling through the park (from the 103rd, input W) As scenes. Honestly, I do not understand everything, but I found the charming idea and execution. This is certainly worth the cramming of the front piece to better advantage.
Otherwise, I plunged into the French culture by seeing 5 x 2 by François Ozon ( critical the NYTimes). I stayed a little on my hunger, I liked to see emerge a story rather than a succession of moments.

Angels circling around Wim Wenders men to blow their welfare. They drag their benevolence in this gray world and suffering, but a world full sensual. Nick Cave sings in cellars for rococo lassives nymphets punks. Angels place their hand on your shoulder, their foreheads pressed against yours. They speak German. She speaks French. Wenn das Kind Kind war.

Goldfish White Spot On Head
Berlin sky a deep breath and plunges
I receive more letters to write Chevrotte. She's gone. She also wrote little bits of his life in his notebook.
I'm here all alone. I let the tears here and there on the shoulders of relatives and people. I tried an empty tirade in the house of God. Flowers.
ago he, she, in the same pit. I jumped from the branch. My wings are broken. It hurts. Learn to fly?

Joke Church 50th Anniversary
Review Past 100 hours
- Not more than 15 hours of sleep in five days
- Twelve hours of cumulative time difference
- No job for me in Paris
- Lots of new CDs French [Orly; Laetitia Sadier; Françoiz Breut; .. .]
- An old friend came across
at Paris - The French factors: everyone discouraged me
- Les Parisiennes have class
- In three months, I'm outta here in Vermont and I recycle in goat farmer if it continues like this.
- A box of salt pork with lentils, it's always good at three o'clock in the morning after 18 hours almost non stop.
