Philippe Bovet
published by Living Earth

The author has traveled all over Europe being interviewed and architects, project managers and residents to make us discover 10 eco-districts selected for their environmental relevance. Appeared in the North and East, eco-districts spread across the continent at the initiative of professionals, elected officials, but also individuals. Of What is it? Districts designed to protect the environment, energy efficient, well served by public transit and bike paths, constructed from materials healthy, recovering rainwater, promote social bonding ... For each of these eco-districts, located in Germany, Austria, Denmark, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland, the author presents specific characteristics, the salient points, a map legend, photos, places to go further and of course all the information gathered through the investigation. This book was written in collaboration with Nadia Jeanvoine journalist.

If still little known in France, the concept of eco-neighborhood is already well ingrained in our European neighbors. In these places, urbanism and architecture are designed to reduce our impact on the planet and improve our quality of life. Saving energy, rainwater collection, accessibility by public transport, use of healthy materials ... are the watchwords. See examples across Europe. They make you want to take the path.
