EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions 38 MW in a park in Scotland
EDF Energies Nouvelles has announced on December 3 last commissioning of the wind farm Longpark in Scotland, with an installed capacity of 38 MW. This accomplishment is the largest wind farm commissioned to date by the Group in the United Kingdom.
Located near Galashiels in southern Scotland, the new park has nineteen wind turbines with an output of 2 MW, supplied by German manufacturer REpower.
Longpark The draft was developed and directed by EDF Energy Renewables. The joint venture, equally owned
by EDF Energies Nouvelles and EDF Energy, was created in 2008 to serve
ambitions of both companies in the renewable energy market in the United Kingdom.
This new activation strengthens the presence of EDF Energies Nouvelles in the UK, bringing its installed capacity in the country at 177.2 MW gross (138.2 net MW).
